It is recognizable by its characteristic pale golden yellow color. A star grape variety of the Northern Rhône Valley, Viognier produces fragrant wines with fruity (apricot, peach) and floral (chamomile, lavender, violet, jasmine) notes, without any acidity, along with hints of toasted hazelnuts. Highly appreciated by lovers of fresh, round, and full-bodied dry white wines, it pairs with poultry, seafood, and Thai cuisine with a distinctly mineral subtlety. A sure bet for an aperitif.
