Orange wine, what is that??

It is a white wine vinified like a red wine. In other words, instead of pressing the harvested white grapes directly and fermenting only the juice, the winemaker first goes through a maceration phase, as with red wines, to extract, among other things, the tannins, pigments, and aromas contained in the skins and seeds of the berries. This maceration phase therefore makes it possible to obtain white grape wines that are slightly orange (hence the name orange wine), with more substance and body than a classic white and developing unique aromatic notes.
They are also called skin-contact white wines.

In the grand opera that is the world of wine, every wine plays its own melody, some sweet and delicate, others strong and passionate.
At the center of this symphony, orange wine rises as a bold soloist, blending tradition and novelty in a dazzling tour de force.

Its history, rich in millennial traditions, is magnified today by a comeback championed by Let it BIB: the Bag in Box.
The fusion of orange wine with this eco-responsible innovation leads you to a new era of tasting, breaking conventions while honoring authenticity.
Come, dear epicureans, dive into this journey between heritage and avant-gardism, where orange wine, under the patronage of Let it BIB, spreads its wings to embrace its true freedom.

If the wine world were a palette of colors, orange wine would be that mysterious shade that irresistibly catches the eye. Midway between white and red, this wine, also called "maceration wine," reinvents the tasting experience by offering a singular gustatory adventure.
Contrary to what its name might suggest, orange wine has nothing to do with pressed oranges. Its name comes from its color, an amber hue owed to a specific winemaking process.
Traditionally, when a winemaker produces a white wine, they press the grapes quickly after harvest to extract the juice before placing it in fermentation. However, for orange wine, the juice is left in contact with the skins, stems, and sometimes even the seeds, for several days or weeks. This prolonged maceration gives it not only its distinctive color, but also an aromatic complexity and tannic structure that recall those of red wines.

Orange wine in a Bib, where tradition meets modernity for an invitation to freedom!

When a wind of innovation blows on wine-tasting methods, it brings us enchanting surprises. This is what Let it BIB offers with our orange wine Bibs, a perfect fusion between the authenticity of traditions and the modernity of the containers. If orange wine, this white maceration wine, already draws us into a whirlwind of unique aromas, having it in a cubi (bag-in-box) is nothing short of a revolution.

Midway between dry white wine and sweet wine, orange wine evokes the flavors of late harvests or vin jaune. Its distinctive tannins, citrus notes, and aromatic nuances recall the flavors of wine regions as varied as Provence, Alsace, or the Puglia region in Italy. These types of wines, which we select because they are all from organic, biodynamic, or natural farming, proudly carry the banner of viticulture that respects the vine and nature.
With Let it BIB, this respect is manifested at every step, from the selection of the best berries by the winemakers, whom we all meet before offering you their wines in a cubi, to the harvesting of the grape clusters and the filling of the Bib. These wines, which we like to call free, as much in their essence as in their presentation, invite a freedom of tasting. Our organic wines, with their aromatic characteristics that have nothing to envy from the best traditional wines and some grands crus, are offered to you in all their splendor.
A simple press on the tap of your orange wine cubi, and the magic happens!

The wonders of the cubi, when orange wine emancipates itself from the bottle!

The world of wine is constantly reinventing itself, and it is in this dynamic that we allow the orange wine cubi to carve out a place of choice. So, why should this modern container entice you more than the ancestral bottle?

First, let's address an essential point: freshness. The integrity of the wine is paramount. With the cubi, the acidity is preserved, ensuring liveliness from cask to glass. You can then fully appreciate the inimitable bouquet of orange wine, whether it is a wine from France or one of those delicious Italian wines.
But the qualities of the cubi do not stop there! Its design is more eco-responsible than the production and transport of millions of bottles. Indeed, a cubi weighs seven times less than a bottle. By choosing the orange wine bib, not only do you reduce the carbon footprint related to transport, but you also contribute to a more respectful consumption of our planet's resources.

Next, let's talk about preservation. The cubi proves to have high preservation potential for orange wine. Its design, combined with innovative technology, effectively protects the wine against oxidation. Thanks to its ingenious system that avoids contact with air, each sip is like the first: fresh and flavorful.
Finally, let's talk about simplicity and accessibility. If bottled orange wine sometimes requires special attention when opening so as not to alter its taste, the cubi eliminates this risk. Your wine simply flows, fluid, refreshing, and ready to be enjoyed.

Once again, the cubi gives wine back its freedom!
Choose the future, choose the cubi, choose Let it BIB, and let orange wine sweep you away in a symphony of flavors, straight from the cask to your glass!
