Darker and more full-bodied than a rosé, lighter and more delicate than a red, this is the "blouge," generally obtained by infusing red grapes in a direct press, or by blending a direct press with free-run juice from red grapes. Other approaches exist, but the quest remains the same: combining character with XXL drinkability.
