Sauvignon rosé 2025 (Vin de France)
/
#NewRelease
Sauvignon rose, also known as Fié Gris or Surin Gris, is a rare and ancient grape variety from the Loire and Bordeaux regions (it was, in fact, the main grape variety at Yquem for a long time). Renowned for being more delicate and aromatic than its white and grey cousins, it is crafted into particularly fresh and subtle macerations.
The color is a very pale, transparent saffron. The nose is floral and persistent, with notes of rose and hawthorn, followed by a lively palate that evolves with hints of candied citrus, acacia, and cooked pear. Salinity and bitterness punctuate the finish, always with great finesse.
Very enjoyable as an aperitif with small Jean de Luz preserves, for example, it will also pair wonderfully with your Thai dishes, Indian cuisine, paellas, mussels in curry sauce, quenelles in aurore sauce, or washed-rind cheeses.
This Sauvignon rose maceration is one of our best surprises of the year. Thank you Aurélie, PA for this gem that is as rare as it is good!

🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
Recommended serving temperatures:
- White and rosé wines: between 7 and 10°C
- Light red wines, orange wines (skin-contact whites), and "blouges" (light red-white blends): around 13°C
- Structured red wines: between 15 and 18°C
It is always better to serve a wine slightly too cool than too warm.
BIB (bag-in-box) wines are very good if you serve them directly from the tap. But "to your surprise," you will find that they always benefit from being decanted or bottled 15 to 30 minutes before tasting.
Before and after opening, it is ideal to store your BIB wine at a constant temperature below 20°C. The closer the storage temperature is to 14°C, the longer the wine will keep.
Once opened, under good storage conditions, the BIB preserves the organoleptic qualities of the wine for at least 4 weeks.
BIB wine, like bottled wine, has no "use by" date or "best before" date.
That said, BIB wine is not intended for cellar aging. We recommend consuming it within 2 months of purchase.
Note: Red and orange wines keep better and longer than white and rosé wines. Thank the tannins for that!
Enjoy your tasting! 🍷🍷
