Red mist

"Brume blanche" was high on the list of your favorite vintages in 2025; "Brume rouge" might just steal the spotlight this year... And yet, it's still not a wine! Or more accurately, it's more than a wine.
It is a very light organic red wine (10.5% ABV), made from an ancient Loire grape variety (Plantet), organic since 1984, planted on gabbro, hand-harvested, with very little extraction and aged on fine lees in an underground vat, into which Maxime the Enchanter infuses forbidden candy, a very high-quality hemp grown by Hemp of Champ, cannabis artisans tucked away in the Southern Alps.
As with the white, the pairing works wonders. The nose is clearly "Californian," but restrained, refined, and seamless. On the palate, there are aromas of fir bud, lavender, violet, blackcurrant, eucalyptus, and weed... It is complex but very balanced, very fluid, and infinitely fine.
An Unidentified Vinous Object, already spotted by several chefs (including Alain Ducasse and Eric Guerin) who use it for food and wine pairings in their tasting menus. We love it chilled for aperitifs, with a tagine, Corsican charcuterie, phở, a bowl of Burlat cherries, or most of Ottolenghi's recipes.
We're betting you won't come out of this Brume rouge unscathed.

🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
Recommended serving temperatures:
- White and rosé wines: between 7 and 10°C
- Light red wines, orange wines (skin-contact whites), and "blouges" (light red-white blends): around 13°C
- Structured red wines: between 15 and 18°C
It is always better to serve a wine slightly too cool than too warm.
BIB (bag-in-box) wines are very good if you serve them directly from the tap. But "to your surprise," you will find that they always benefit from being decanted or bottled 15 to 30 minutes before tasting.
Before and after opening, it is ideal to store your BIB wine at a constant temperature below 20°C. The closer the storage temperature is to 14°C, the longer the wine will keep.
Once opened, under good storage conditions, the BIB preserves the organoleptic qualities of the wine for at least 4 weeks.
BIB wine, like bottled wine, has no "use by" date or "best before" date.
That said, BIB wine is not intended for cellar aging. We recommend consuming it within 2 months of purchase.
Note: Red and orange wines keep better and longer than white and rosé wines. Thank the tannins for that!
Enjoy your tasting! 🍷🍷
