HS Box - Brin de Lune 2023 (AOC Anjou)

Mmmm… Marc Houtin's divine Chenins! After elevating those of Grange aux Belles to the heights of Anjou, he is now at the helm of Les Vignes du Fresche, his new playground for juice, this time as a duo with his friend Alex Forge, who now splits his time between his vines and his Angevin hideout (he is the boss of the unmissable À Boire et à manger).
"Brin de lune" is the second Chenin from the estate that we are offering you, following "Radicalement blanc" last year. The main difference: a third was aged in used barrels and the remaining 2/3 remained in tanks, before blending in the spring, which gives this Chenin even more aromatic complexity.
If you are worried about reduction, a little aeration for half an hour will be welcome. But once this step is passed, it's pure happiness... Everything in this Chenin is a matter of energy, precision, and... friends! Flowers, fruit, minerality, verticality, length... From the nose to the throat, it is grounded, fresh, generous, and thirst-quenching. Already a serious contender for the top wines of the year!

🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
🤗 Our tasting & storage tips
Recommended serving temperatures:
- White and rosé wines: between 7 and 10°C
- Light red wines, orange wines (skin-contact whites), and "blouges" (light red-white blends): around 13°C
- Structured red wines: between 15 and 18°C
It is always better to serve a wine slightly too cool than too warm.
BIB (bag-in-box) wines are very good if you serve them directly from the tap. But "to your surprise," you will find that they always benefit from being decanted or bottled 15 to 30 minutes before tasting.
Before and after opening, it is ideal to store your BIB wine at a constant temperature below 20°C. The closer the storage temperature is to 14°C, the longer the wine will keep.
Once opened, under good storage conditions, the BIB preserves the organoleptic qualities of the wine for at least 4 weeks.
BIB wine, like bottled wine, has no "use by" date or "best before" date.
That said, BIB wine is not intended for cellar aging. We recommend consuming it within 2 months of purchase.
Note: Red and orange wines keep better and longer than white and rosé wines. Thank the tannins for that!
Enjoy your tasting! 🍷🍷
